It was hard to miss another beautifully wrapped box with a picture of the Luchot (Tablets) on it. After taking off all the layers of wrapping paper we found a game of Scattegories! At first we were a bit confused, but as soon as we took out our detective gear we discovered that the Aseret Hadibrot (10 Commandments) are really 10 categories of Mitzvot (commandments)!
We sure had fun dividing Lego into categories based on their color and size. We also did a great job sorting the 613 colorful popsicle sticks and dividing them into 10 containers.
Coloring half a picture could have been a challenge but after working on our own and consulting with our partners you would never guess that the pictures had been cut in half!
This taught us that we each need to work on our personal relationships with G-d and at the same time we need to help our fellow man. This is true of the Aseret Hadibrot. The first 5 are between man and G-d and the second five are between man and man.
