Lesson 1


We peeled layer after layer of a huge onion until we had tears in our eyes. This helped us understand that the Torah has many deep layers to uncover and discover!

When we unwrapped the big Alef box we discovered that the letter Alef is made up of three parts. The top part represents G-d, the bottom part represents the Jewish people and the line in between represents the Mitzvot (commandments) that connect us with G-d. We made blessings on food to connect ourselves with G-d and then we counted 613 Popsicle sticks to represent the 613 Mitzvot.
